Journal ArticleDOI

Arabinose substitution effect on xylan rigidity and self-aggregation

TL;DR: Molecular dynamics simulations reveal fully solubilized xylans with a low degree of arabinose substitution (lsAX) to be stiffer than their highly substituted (hsAX) counterparts, and highly substituted GAX is more localized in plant cell walls and promotes cellulose bundling.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ammonia-salt solvent promotes cellulosic biomass deconstruction under ambient pretreatment conditions to enable rapid soluble sugar production at ultra-low enzyme loadings

TL;DR: The proposed ammonia-salt process can operate at near-ambient conditions to greatly reduce the pressure/temperature severity necessary for conducting effective ammonia-based pretreatments on lignocellulose.
Posted ContentDOI

Supercomputer-Based Ensemble Docking Drug Discovery Pipeline with Application to Covid-19

TL;DR: A supercomputer-driven pipeline for in-silico drug discovery using enhanced sampling molecular dynamics (MD) and ensemble docking and the use of quantum mechanical, machine learning, and AI methods to cluster MD trajectories and rescore docking poses is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic Neutron Scattering by Biological Systems

TL;DR: Vibration in proteins, the temperature dependence of protein motions, and concepts describing the rich variety of motions detectable using neutrons in biological systems at physiological temperatures are examined.
