Nanostructured titanium for biomedical applications
Ruslan Z. Valiev,Irina P. Semenova,V.V. Latysh,Henry J. Rack,Terry C. Lowe,J. Petruzelka,Ludek Dluhoš,D. Hrusak,J. Sochova +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of the first developments and studies of nanostructured titanium (n-Ti), produced as long-sized rods with superior mechanical and biomedical properties and demonstrates its applicability for dental implants.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nanostructured SPD Processed Titanium for Medical Implants
Ruslan Z. Valiev,Irina P. Semenova,Enja Jakushina,V.V. Latysh,Henry J. Rack,Terry C. Lowe,Jiri Petruželka,Ludek Dluhoš,Daniel Hrusak,J. Sochova +9 more
TL;DR: Results from laboratory cytocompatibility tests undertaken so far on mice fibroblast cells have indicated that nanocrystalline Ti surface has a significantly better property for cell colonisation and healing of tissue consequently.
Book ChapterDOI
Nanostructured commercially pure titanium for development of miniaturized biomedical implants
Ruslan Z. Valiev,Ruslan Z. Valiev,Ilchat Sabirov,E.G. Zemtsova,E.V. Parfenov,Ludek Dluhoš,Terry C. Lowe +6 more
TL;DR: This chapter gives an overview on the application of nanostructured CP Ti in two types of implants: small-diameter dental implants and maxillofacial mini-implants, and its superior mechanical properties and functional performance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Repeated Exposure of Nanostructured Titanium to Osteoblasts with Respect to Peri-Implantitis.
Vaclav Babuska,Jana Dobrá,Ludek Dluhoš,Jana Dvorakova,Jana Moztarzadeh,Daniel Hrusak,Vlastimil Kulda +6 more
TL;DR: It is found that this repeated cleaning of titanium surface reduced cell adhesion as well as proliferation, which depend on interplay of surface properties, such as wettability, roughness and topography.
