TL;DR: In this paper, the abundance-occupancy relationships of Trichoptera larvae in Cerrado streams surrounding the Parque Estadual da Serra de Caldas (Caldas Novas, state of Goias, Brazil) were compared to evaluate the following hypothesis: hydrologic instability during the rain season is the main mechanism which reduces the magnitude of these relationships in streams located in the Cerrada region, Centre-West of Brazil.
Local and regional species diversity in South American Falconiformes: a geostatistical approach
TL;DR: In this article, the minimum distance between localities that ensures stochastic independence of diversity estimates across space, using geostatistical analyses, was determined, based on the range obtained by a variogram.
Journal ArticleDOI
The importance of blue and green landscape connectivity for biodiversity in urban ponds
TL;DR: In this paper, the relative roles of pond environmental properties, spatial structure, and functional connectivity on differentiation of invertebrate metacommunities in urban ponds in the city of Stockholm, Sweden were investigated.
