Thermal performances investigation of a wet cooling tower

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental investigation of the thermal performances of a forced draft counter flow wet cooling tower filled with an "VGA" (Vertical Grid Apparatus) type packing is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile synthesis of epoxy nanocomposite coatings using inorganic nanoparticles for enhanced thermo-mechanical properties: a comparative study

TL;DR: In this paper, a facile direct incorporation technique has been utilized for the dispersion of the NPs in the epoxy matrix via high-speed mechanical stirring and ultra-sonication using acetone as a solvent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of frequency on pulsed fluidized beds of ultrafine powders

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of frequency on the hydrodynamics of pulsed fluidized beds of ultrafine powders that show strong agglomeration behavior has been investigated and the results showed that the effect was rather insignificant as the global pressure transients remained rather insensitive to the change of the fluidization velocity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Energy analysis and economic feasibility of wood dryers integrated with heat recovery unit and solar air heaters in cold and hot climates

TL;DR: In this article, the energy performance and economic feasibility of conventional wood dryer systems integrated with a heat recovery unit and solar air heaters are numerically investigated, and four different designs of wood dryers, composed of an insulated drying chamber, an HRU, a flat plate air collector, a photovoltaic/thermal air collector and an auxiliary heater, are presented and compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental investigation of the hydraulic characteristics of a counter flow wet cooling tower

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental investigation of the hydraulic characteristics of a counter flow wet cooling tower was carried out and the results indicated that this type of tower possesses relatively good hydraulic characteristics.
