TL;DR: The magnetic field experiment on WIND will provide data for studies of a broad range of scales of structures and fluctuation characteristics of the interplanetary magnetic field throughout the mission, and, where appropriate, relate them to the statics and dynamics of the magnetosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI
Trains of magnetic holes and magnetic humps in the heliosheath
TL;DR: In this article, the existence of magnetic holes and magnetic humps in the heliosheath was discussed based on Voyager 1 observations made in the intervals DOY 312.9707 - 317.0879, 2005 and DOY 185.2762 - 186.7957, 2005.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiscale structure of magnetic fields in the heliosheath
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the magnetic field observed in the heliosheath from day of year 1 to 308, 2005, and found that the average of magnetic field strength B is 0.104 nT, but it is highly variable, and its profile appears filamentary.
Journal ArticleDOI
Global structure and dynamics of large‐scale fluctuations in the solar wind: Voyager 2 observations during 2005 and 2006
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for specifying the boundary conditions at all latitudes (except near the poles) on a Sun-centered surface of radius of 1 AU, based on solar magnetic field observations, is introduced.
