Differential regulation of antioxidant enzymes in response to oxidants.
S. Shull,Nicholas H. Heintz,Muthu Periasamy,M. Manohar,Yvonne W. M. Janssen,Joanne P. Marsh,Brooke T. Mossman +6 more
TL;DR: The data indicate that epithelial cells of the respiratory tract respond to different oxidant insults by selective induction of certain antioxidant enzymes, and gene expression of antioxidant enzymes does not appear to be coordinately regulated in these cell types.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antioxidant Defense Mechanisms in Asbestos-Induced Lung Disease
Brooke T. Mossman,Y.M.W. Janssen,Joanne P. Marsh,M. Manohar,M. Garrone,S. Shull,David R. Hemenway +6 more
TL;DR: Several studies suggest that active oxygen species are involved in the development of asbestos-induced lung diseases and experiments in this laboratory have focused on antioxidant enzym...
Journal ArticleDOI
Green chemistry principles for the synthesis of anti fungal active gum acacia-gold nanocomposite - natamycin (GA-AuNC-NT) against food spoilage fungal strain Aspergillus ochraceopealiformis and its marked Congo red dye adsprtion efficacy.
S. Karthick Raja Namasivayam,M. Manohar,Jagadeesan Aravind Kumar,K. Samrat,Akhil Kande,R. S. Arvind Bharani,CS Jayaprakash,Subrahmanya Lokesh +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a gum acacia -gold nanocomposite fabricated with food preservative agent natamycin (GA-AuNC-NT) was prepared via green science principles under in vitro conditions.
