Book ChapterDOI

Avoiding Exponential Explosion in Petri Net Models of Control Flows

TL;DR: In this paper , it was shown that the Cartesian product construction can be improved to polynomial (quadratic) in the worst case, and down to logarithmic in the best case.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

SONCraft: A Tool for Construction, Simulation, and Analysis of Structured Occurrence Nets

TL;DR: SONCraft is an open source tool for editing, simulating, and analysing Structured Occurrence Nets (SONs), which is a Petri net-based formalism for modelling the behaviour of complex evolving systems.
Book

Applications and theory of Petri nets 2001 : 22nd International Conference, ICATPN 2001, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, June 25-29, 2001 : proceedings

TL;DR: Modelling the Structure and Behaviour of Petri Net Agents and Model Checking LTL Properties of High-Level Petri Nets with Fairness Constraints.
Journal ArticleDOI

Membrane Systems and Petri Net Synthesis

TL;DR: A Petri net solution to the problem of synthesising a membrane system from a behavioural specification given in the form of a transition system which specifies the desired state space of the system to be constructed is demonstrated.

Steps and Coverability in Inhibitor Nets

TL;DR: For Petri nets with inhibitor arcs, properties like reachability and boundedness are undecidable and hence constructing a coverability tree is not feasible, so emphasis is given to the (a priori) step sequence semantics which cannot be simulated by firing sequences.
