Journal ArticleDOI
p-Coumaric acid attenuates alcohol exposed hepatic injury through MAPKs, apoptosis and Nrf2 signaling in experimental models
Ramakrishnan Sabitha,Kumari Nishi,Vinoth Prasanna Gunasekaran,Balupillai Agilan,Ernest David,Govindhan Annamalai,Rajamanickam Vinothkumar,Malliga Perumal,Latha Subbiah,Mathan Ganeshan +9 more
TL;DR: The ameliorative consequence of PCA on ethanol induced oxidative stress and apoptosis was achieved by suppressing the expression of CYP2E1 and overexpressing Nrf2 and its target protein HO-1 in rat liver tissue and PCA was marked to be an effective antioxidant with notable hepatoprotection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular interactions of graphene with HIV-Vpr, Nef and Gag proteins: A new approach for treating HIV infections
Navanietha Krishnaraj Rathinam,Chandran Saravanan,Pal Parimal,Varalakshmi Perumal,Malliga Perumal +4 more
TL;DR: The antagonistic molecular interactions of graphene with the three key target proteins of HIV infections namely HIVVpr, Nef and Gag proteins confirm the good therapeutic potential of the graphene to combat HIV mediated retroviral infections.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of physicochemical parameters of tannery effluent treated with coir pith and Nava Rasa Karaisal and study of toxicity on plants
Journal ArticleDOI
Biodegradation of tannery effluent and its impact on seed germination ofOryza sativa
Jenny Sivakumar,Malliga Perumal +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the biodegradation of tannery effluent and its impacts on the germination of Oryza sativa seeds and found that microbial reduction of toxic chromium to non-toxic chromium by chromium resistance microorganism is the most pragmatic approach that offers an economical as well as eco-friendly process.
