Balloon-expandable stent repair of severe coarctation of aorta.
José Suárez de Lezo,Manuel Pan,Miguel Romero,Alfonso Medina,José Segura,Djordje Pavlovic,Carlos García Martínez,Ignacio Tejero,Juan Luis Pérez Navero,Francisco Torres,Mercedes Lafuente,Enrique Hernández,Francisco Melián,Manuel Concha +13 more
TL;DR: This study evaluates the feasibility and immediate results of balloon-expandable stent implantation in 10 patients with severe coarctation of aorta and finds that after balloon angioplasty alone was done, the gradient almost disappeared and the angiographic stenosis disappeared.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long term outcome of infective endocarditis in patients who were not drug addicts : a 10 year study
Juan C. Castillo,M. Anguita,A Ramírez,J R Siles,F. Torres,Dolores Mesa,Franco M,Ignacio Muñoz,Manuel Concha,F. Valles +9 more
TL;DR: A high early surgery rate is related to good long term results and does not increase in-hospital mortality, however, medical treatment also offers favourable longterm results in cases of responsive infective endocarditis where poor prognostic factors are absent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and hemodynamic predictors of survival in patients aged <65 years with severe congestive heart failure secondary to ischemic or nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy
Manuel Anguita,José M. Arizón,Gregorio Bueno,Jose M. Latre,Sancho M,Francisco Torres,Diego Giménez,Manuel Concha,Federico Vallés +8 more
TL;DR: Classic prognostic markers including ventricular arrhythmias, left ventricular end-diastolic pressure, cardiac index, amiodarone therapy and etiology were not associated with prognosis in this homogeneous population of severely ill patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
Percutaneous Transluminal Balloon Dilatation for Discrete Subaortic Stenosis
José Suárez de Lezo,Manuel Pan,Sancho M,Norberto Herrera,José M. Arizón,Franco M,Manuel Concha,Federico Vallés,Armando Romanos +8 more
TL;DR: Seven patients, mean age 8 +/- 3.6 years, with clinical and hemodynamic diagnoses of discrete subaortic stenosis were treated by percutaneous transluminal balloon dilatation (PTBD) of the membrane during cardiac catheterization with results consistent with hemodynamic findings.
