An inventory model for deteriorating items with shortages and time-varying demand
TL;DR: In this article, a deterministic inventory system for items with a constant deterioration rate is studied and an approach is proposed to minimize the total cost per inventory cycle, which depends on two decision variables: the time at which the inventory level falls to zero and the length of the scheduling period.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal inventory policy under power demand pattern and partial backlogging
TL;DR: In this article, the authors study an inventory model with a power demand pattern that allows shortages and determine the lot size and the length of the inventory cycle that maximize the total inventory profit per unit time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of High-Performance Work Systems (HPWS) on Hospitality Employees’ Outcomes through Their Organizational Commitment, Motivation, and Job Satisfaction
Daniel Dorta-Afonso,Manuel González-de-la-Rosa,Francisco J. García-Rodríguez,Laura Romero-Domínguez +3 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the underlying mechanisms inside the so-called black box that relate high performance work systems (HPWS) with employees' well-being and job performance in hospitality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hospitality diversity management and job satisfaction: The mediating role of organizational commitment across individual differences
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of diversity management on hospitality employees' organizational commitment and their job satisfaction taking into account individual differences were examined in the Canary Island, one of the main tourist destinations in the world, which receives over fifteen million tourists a year.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal policy for an inventory system with power demand, backlogged shortages and production rate proportional to demand rate
TL;DR: In this article, an inventory system for items with time-varying demand is analyzed and an efficient approach is developed to obtain the optimal scheduling period and the optimal reorder point.
