Maturation of the optokinetic response: Genetic and environmental factors

TL;DR: Oculomotor responses to displacement of the visual field (optokinetic nystagmus, OKN) were studied in two groups of kittens, and kittens from the unidirectional group systematically exhibited a better response for stripes moving in the direction to which they had been exposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Adaptation of hand tracking to rotated visual coordinates

TL;DR: A newly developed technique, allowing continuous recording of hand movements during the tracing of lines on a horizontal writing surface, was used to measure aftereffects induced by the exposure of subjects to a rotation of the visual-motor feedback from their own hands to support the hypothesis of a “recalibration” mechanism for the observed adaptation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Altered processing of sensorimotor feedback in schizophrenia.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined visual-event-related potentials (ERPs) generated by a sensorimotor task in 15 patients with schizophrenia and 15 normal controls and found that patients were impaired in recognizing their own movements.
