Journal ArticleDOI

A convenient synthesis of aromatic thiols from unactivated aryl halides

TL;DR: Aromatic thiols are obtained in good yields from unactivated aryl halides and excess MeSNa in HMPA.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient asymmetric selenomethoxylation and selenohydroxylation of alkenes with a new sulfur containing chiral diselenide

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of a chiral non-racemic sulfur containing diselenide is described, and the electrophilic selenium reagent is used to effect selenomethoxylation and the selenohydroxylation of alkenes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Total synthesis of orellanine the lethal toxin of Cortinarius orellanus fries mushroom

TL;DR: Antkowiak and Gessner as mentioned in this paper reported the synthesis of the main toxin of Cortinarius Orellanus Fries, orellanine, and of its decomposition product, Orelline.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficient asymmetric selenocyclizations of alkenyl oximes into cyclic nitrones and 1,2-oxazines promoted by sulfur containing diselenides

TL;DR: In this article, the ( E )- or ( Z )-geometry of the starting oximes was determined by the course of these reactions and hence the structures of the cyclization products were dictated by the (E)- or (Z)-geometry, and the two types of cyclization product were either the cyclic nitrones or the 1,2-oxazines.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of enantiomerically enriched β-hydroxy selenides by catalytic asymmetric ring opening of meso-epoxides with (phenylseleno)silanes

TL;DR: In this paper, the first enantioselective ring opening of meso-epoxides by (phenylseleno)silanes using salen(Cr)complexes as catalyst is described.
