MRI angiography is superior to helical CT for detection of HCC prior to liver transplantation: An explant correlation
Marta Burrel,Josep M. Llovet,Carmen Ayuso,Carmela Iglesias,Margarita Sala,Rosa Miquel,Teresa M. de Caralt,Juan Ramón Ayuso,Manel Solé,Marcelo Sánchez,Concepció Brú,Jordi Bruix +11 more
TL;DR: MRI angiography has a high diagnostic accuracy for HCC ⩾ 10 mm and is more sensitive than triphasic helical CT in nodules sized 10 to 20 mm, and MRA is the optimal technique for H CC staging prior to curative therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary Sarcoidosis: Typical and Atypical Manifestations at High-Resolution CT with Pathologic Correlation
Eva Criado,Marcelo Sánchez,José Ramírez,Pedro Arguis,Teresa M. de Caralt,Rosario J. Perea,Antonio Xaubet +6 more
TL;DR: To achieve a timely diagnosis and help reduce associated morbidity and mortality, it is essential to recognize both the typical and the atypical radiologic manifestations of the disease, take note of features that may be suggestive of diseases other than sarcoidosis, and correlate imaging features with pathologic findings to help narrow the differential diagnosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Large vessel involvement in biopsy-proven giant cell arteritis: prospective study in 40 newly diagnosed patients using CT angiography
Sergio Prieto-González,Pedro Arguis,Ana García-Martínez,Georgina Espígol-Frigolé,Itziar Tavera-Bahillo,Montserrat Butjosa,Marcelo Sánchez,José Hernández-Rodríguez,Josep M. Grau,Maria C. Cid +9 more
TL;DR: CTA-defined LVV occurs in two-thirds of patients with GCA at the time of diagnosis and aortic dilation is already present in 15%.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The rapid guide includes three diagnosis recommendations and four management recommendations that cover patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 with different levels of disease severity, throughout the care pathway from outpatient facility or hospital entry, to home discharge.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is microbubble-enhanced ultrasonography sufficient for assessment of response to percutaneous treatment in patients with early hepatocellular carcinoma?
Ramón Vilana,Luis Bianchi,Maria Varela,Carlos Nicolau,Marcelo Sánchez,Carmen Ayuso,Miguel Angel Garcia,Margarita Sala,Josep M. Llovet,Jordi Bruix,Conxita Bru +10 more
TL;DR: The 1-month CEUS has a high diagnostic accuracy compared with spiral -CT in the usual assessment of percutaneous treatment response and is slightly useful to evaluate therapeutic efficacy.
