Religiosity and prejudice: different patterns for two types of religious internalization.

TL;DR: Results of two studies conducted in Italy show that identified religiosity and introjected religiosity predict different levels of prejudice toward Muslim immigrants, and the negative relationship between identified religiousiosity and prejudice was mediated by prosocial values, whereas valuing conformity mediated the positive relationship between introjected religion and prejudice.
Journal ArticleDOI

Autonomous Versus Controlled Religiosity: Family and Group Antecedents

TL;DR: A study of Italian Catholic youth showed that identified internalization was predicted by parents' behaviors reflecting basic autonomy support (BAS; behaviors involving perspective taking, choice-provision, and control-minimization), youth-group leader BAS, parents' intrinsic value demonstration (IVD), and peers' IVD as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

FLUKA Monte Carlo simulation for the Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion radiosurgery system: homogeneous media.

TL;DR: Investigation of the capability of the FLUKA Monte Carlo code to simulate the Elekta Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion (LGK-PFX) and reproduce the Treatment Planning System (TPS) Lekselling GammaPlan version 8.2 (LGP) dose calculations for the case of a water equivalent phantom target shows established accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review of potential improvements using MRI in the radiotherapy workflow

TL;DR: The state of the art of MRI integration into treatment planning and its importance in follow up and the quantification of biological effects are outlined and indications will be given what the potential of integrated radiotherapy/online MRI systems is.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature behavior of radiochromic poly(vinyl-alcohol)-glutaraldehyde Fricke gel dosimeters in practice

TL;DR: In this paper, the dependence of the dosimetric properties of PVA-GTA Fricke gel dosimeters both on the irradiation temperature and on temperature changes possibly occurring between irradiation and readout phases was investigated by means of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and optical absorbance (OA) measurements.
