Reasons for delaying surgery following hip fractures and its impact on one year mortality.
Alejandro Lizaur-Utrilla,Blanca Gonzalez-Navarro,Maria Flores Vizcaya-Moreno,Francisco A. Miralles Muñoz,Santiago Gonzalez-Parreño,Fernando A. Lopez-Prats +5 more
TL;DR: This study suggests that waiting time for hip fracture surgery more than two days was not associated with higher complication or mortality rate if waiting was to stabilize patients with active comorbidities at admission, compared to stable patients at admission with early surgery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cruciate-Retaining vs Posterior-Stabilized Primary Total Arthroplasty. Clinical Outcome Comparison With a Minimum Follow-Up of 10 Years.
Ricardo Serna-Berna,Alejandro Lizaur-Utrilla,Maria Flores Vizcaya-Moreno,Francisco A. Miralles Muñoz,Blanca Gonzalez-Navarro,Fernando A. Lopez-Prats +5 more
TL;DR: Both designs can be used expecting long-term successful outcomes and high survival, and the superiority of one design over the other was not found.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sari Pramila-Savukoski,Jonna Juntunen,Anna-Maria Tuomikoski,Maria Kääriäinen,Maria Kääriäinen,Marco Tomietto,Boris Miha Kaučič,Bojana Filej,Olga Riklikiene,Maria Flores Vizcaya-Moreno,Rosa M. Pérez-Cañaveras,Paul De Raeve,Kristina Mikkonen +12 more
TL;DR: This systematic review addresses a gap in knowledge of mentors' self-evaluated competence that could assist the formulation of effective educational programs for mentors internationally and improving clinical environments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Altered seric levels of albumin, sodium and parathyroid hormone may predict early mortality following hip fracture surgery in elderly.
Alejandro Lizaur-Utrilla,Blanca Gonzalez-Navarro,Maria Flores Vizcaya-Moreno,Fernando A. Lopez-Prats +3 more
TL;DR: The association of altered levels at admission of serum concentration of albumin, sodium and PTH was predictor of early mortality following hip fracture surgery in elderly patients.
Journal ArticleDOI
