Carbon formation and its influence on ethanol steam reforming over Ni/Al2O3 catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of catalysts were studied by N2 physisorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and temperature programmed reduction (TPR).
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of Ni and Pt catalysts supported on α-Al2O3 and ZrO2 applied in methane reforming with CO2

TL;DR: In this paper, Ni and Pt catalysts supported on α-Al2O3 and ZrO2 were studied in the dry reforming of methane to produce synthesis gas, and the selectivity measured at 650°C, expressed by the molar ratio H2/CO reached values near to 1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reforming of Methane with Carbon Dioxide over Pt/ZrO2/Al2O3 Catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, the kinetics of CO2 reforming of methane was studied over Pt supported on Al2O3, ZrO2, and x% Zr O2/Al2O 3 (1≤x≤20 wt), and the catalysts were characterized using different techniques.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biodiesel production from soybean oil and methanol using hydrotalcites as catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, methanolysis of soybean oil was investigated using Mg-Al hydrotalcites as heterogeneous catalyst, evaluating the effect of Mg/Al ratio on the basicity and catalytic activity for biodiesel production.
Journal ArticleDOI

Autothermal reforming of methane over Pt/ZrO2/Al2O3 catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, an autothermal reforming of methane, combining steam reforming and partial oxidation was carried out with Pt/Al2O3, Pt/ZrO2/Al 2O3 catalysts, in the temperature range of 400-900°C. The reaction occurs in two simultaneous stages: total combustion of methane and reforming of the unconverted methane with steam and CO2.
