TL;DR: Structural features of the PKS ACP, determined by two‐dimensional 1H‐NMR, with the Escherichia coli fatty acid synthase (FAS) ACP are compared and the results demonstrate that the sequence homology is extended to the secondary structure of the proteins.

TL;DR: In this article, a family of three isoprenoidal hydrocarbons (1, 3, and 2) were identified from lacustrine sediment deposited 5,000-18,000 yrs BP (14 C dating) and their structures and stereochemistry determined from the interpretation of 1D and 2D 1H and 13 C NMR and mass spectral data as well as degradation by ozonolysis.
