ZnO nanorod arrays as electron injection layers for efficient organic light emitting diodes
TL;DR: In this article, vertical ZnO nanorods as electron injection layers in organic light emitting diodes are implemented for display and lighting purposes, achieving brightness and efficiencies up to 8602 cd m−2 and 1.66 cd A−1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Passivation against oxygen and light induced degradation by the PCBM electron transport layer in planar perovskite solar cells
Chieh-Ting Lin,Sebastian Pont,Jinhyun Kim,Tian Du,Shengda Xu,Xiaoe Li,Daniel Bryant,Daniel Bryant,Martyn A. McLachlan,James R. Durrant,James R. Durrant +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the causes of a 20 fold improved stability of inverted, planar structure devices (ITO/PTAA/CH3NH3PbI3/PCBM/BCP/Cu) under oxygen and light stress.
Journal ArticleDOI
Probing Local and Global Ferroelectric Phase Stability and Polarization Switching in Ordered Macroporous PZT
Martyn A. McLachlan,David W. McComb,Mary P. Ryan,Anna N. Morozovska,Eugene A. Eliseev,E. Andrew Payzant,Stephen Jesse,Katyayani Seal,Arthur P. Baddorf,Sergei V. Kalinin +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the phase stability and polarization switching of PbZr0.3Ti0.7O3 (PZT) nanostructures (ferroelectric nanosponges) were characterized using piezoresponse force spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solution-processable MoOx nanocrystals enable highly efficient reflective and semitransparent polymer solar cells
Lethy Krishnan Jagadamma,Hanlin Hu,Taesoo Kim,Guy Olivier Ngongang Ndjawa,Ahmed M. Mansour,Abdulrahman El Labban,Jorge C. D. Faria,Rahim Munir,Dalaver H. Anjum,Martyn A. McLachlan,Aram Amassian +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the hole transporting layer (HTL) deposited on top of the organic bulk heterojunction layer in the inverted architecture is most commonly an ultrathin ( 30%).
Journal ArticleDOI
Unusual Thermal Boundary Resistance in Halide Perovskites: A Way To Tune Ultralow Thermal Conductivity for Thermoelectrics.
Tianjun Liu,Sheng-Ying Yue,Sheng-Ying Yue,Sinclair R. Ratnasingham,Thibault Degousée,Pritesh Varsini,Joe Briscoe,Martyn A. McLachlan,Ming Hu,Ming Hu,Oliver Fenwick +10 more
TL;DR: This work reports on the tuning of in-plane thermal conductivity in methylammonium lead iodide thin films by morphological control and quantifies the thermal boundary resistance (Kapitza resistance) for thermally evaporated films, suggesting an important role of methylimmonium rotational modes in scattering phonons at the crystallite boundaries.
