Journal Article
Genetic determination of exocrine pancreatic function in cystic fibrosis.
P. Kristidis,Dominique Bozon,Mary Corey,Danuta Markiewicz,Johanna M. Rommens,Lap-Chee Tsui,Peter R. Durie +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the pancreatic function status of cystic fibrosis patients was correlated to mutations in the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, showing that approximately 10% of the mutant alleles may confer pancreatic sufficiency.
Journal Article
DNA marker haplotype association with pancreatic sufficiency in cystic fibrosis.
Batsheva Kerem,Janet A. Buchanan,Peter R. Durie,Mary Corey,Henry Levison,Johanna M. Rommens,M. Buchwald,Lap-Chee Tsui +7 more
TL;DR: The study showed that the allelic and haplotype distributions for these RFLPs are significantly different between the two groups, and suggested that most of the CF-PI patients are probably descendants of a single mutational event at the CF locus and that theCF-PS patients resulted from multiple, different mutations.
Journal Article
CFTR gene variant for patients with congenital absence of vas deferens.
TL;DR: Data is presented to show that a previously known sequence variant in intron 8 of the CFTR gene is a specific and frequent mutation associated with CBAVD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cholecalciferol significantly increases 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentrations in adults with cystic fibrosis
Anne L. Stephenson,Michelle Brotherwood,Ronalee Robert,Eshetu G. Atenafu,Mary Corey,Elizabeth Tullis +5 more
TL;DR: A significant proportion of adults with cystic fibrosis have serum 25(OH)D concentrations
Journal ArticleDOI
Prevalence of vitamin K deficiency in cystic fibrosis
Mohsin Rashid,P. R. Durie,Maureen Andrew,Daina Kalnins,Janey Shin,Mary Corey,Elizabeth Tullis,Paul B Pencharz +7 more
TL;DR: Vitamin K deficiency is common in unsupplemented patients with CF and pancreatic insufficiency and routine supplementation should be considered in all of these patients.
