Journal ArticleDOI
Efficient integrated processes for pulp and paper wastewater treatment and phytotoxicity reduction: Permanganate, electro-Fenton and Co3O4/UV/peroxymonosulfate
TL;DR: In this paper, integrated processes were used for the first time to treat pulp and paper wastewater (PPW) including permanganate (PM), electro-Fenton (EF), and Co3O4/Peroxymonosulfate/UV (sulfate radical, SR).
Journal ArticleDOI
Combined electrocoagulation and UV-based sulfate radical oxidation processes for treatment of pulp and paper wastewater
TL;DR: In this article, an integrated process of electrocoagulation followed by UV/oxidant system was studied for the removal of organic compounds from pulp and paper wastewater, and the results showed that UV/PS had the best performance in natural pH while UV/PMS required pH adjusting since pH = 4.0 provided the best efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Removal of vanadium and palladium ions by adsorption onto magnetic chitosan nanoparticles.
Maryam Omidinasab,Nadereh Rahbar,Mehdi Ahmadi,Babak Kakavandi,Farshid Ghanbari,George Z. Kyzas,Susana Silva Martínez,Neemat Jaafarzadeh +7 more
TL;DR: The adsorption of V(V) and Pd(II) ions onto Fe3O4-CSN is a combination of physical and chemical adsorptive steps, as based on the kinetics and equilibrium study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorptive of vanadium and palladium ions using chitin-extracted from shrimp shell wastes: genetic programming modeling
Maryam Omidinasab,Zahra Noorimotlagh,Maryam Faraji,Behrouz Bayati,Jalel Labidi,Zeinab Ghaedrahmat,Kourosh Rahmani,Majid Nozari +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effect of parameters such as the concentration of V and Pd, contact time, solution pH, adsorbent dose, cations, and anions were investigated.
