Antenna and Package Design for 61- and 122-GHz Radar Sensors in Embedded Wafer-Level Ball Grid Array Technology
Martin Frank,Torsten Reissland,Fabian Lurz,Matthias Voelkel,Franziska Lambrecht,Stefan Kiefl,Pol Ghesquiere,Herman Jalli Ng,Dietmar Kissinger,Robert Weigel,Alexander Koelpin +10 more
TL;DR: This paper suggests the usage of an optimized structure of the embedded wafer-level ball grid array technology for millimeter-wave antennas-in-package for 61- and 122-GHz radar applications.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A low-power 60-GHz integrated sixport receiver front-end in a 130-nm BiCMOS technology
TL;DR: A 60 GHz monolithic low-power sixport receiver front-end for high precision industrial radar systems is presented and the measurement principle is based on the passive superposition and power detection of two incident millimeter-wave signals.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A Low-Power 120-GHz integrated sixport receiver front-end with digital adjustable gain in a 130-nm bicmos technology
Matthias Voelkel,Hartmut Hirsch,Marco Dietz,Robert Weigel,Amelie Hagelauer,Dietmar Kissinger +5 more
TL;DR: A 120 GHz monolithic low-power sixport receiver front-end including two variable gain amplifiers, a passive sixport network, four detectors and a digital serial interface (SPI) is presented, well suited for industrial radar applications, as well as for biomedical applications and it is further more well suited to communication systems.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
An Integrated Bistatic 4TX/4RX Six-Port MIMO-Transceiver at 60 GHz in a 130-nm SiGe BiCMOS Technology for Radar Applications
Matthias Voelkel,Stefan Pechmann,Herman Jalli Ng,Dietmar Kissinger,Robert Weigel,Amelie Hagelauer +5 more
TL;DR: Results indicate, that the MIMO six-port transceiver is well suited for radar applications and can be used for cascading multiple chips for massive MIMo applications.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A Low-Power 14% FTR Push-Push D-Band VCO in 130 nm SiGe BiCMOS Technology with −178 dBc/Hz FOM T
TL;DR: In this article, a low-power wideband push-push voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is presented, achieving a frequency tuning range (FTR) of 19 GHz (14%) at a center frequency of 136 GHz.
