Journal ArticleDOI
Socioeconomic status and depression during and after pregnancy in the Franconian Maternal Health Evaluation Studies (FRAMES)
Alexander Hein,Claudia Rauh,Anne Engel,Lothar Häberle,Ulf Dammer,Franziska Voigt,Peter A. Fasching,Florian Faschingbauer,Pascal Burger,Matthias W. Beckmann,Johannes Kornhuber,Tamme W. Goecke +11 more
TL;DR: Parity status, education status, monthly income, residential property status, and partnership status, as well as interactions between them, were found to be predictive factors for EPDS scores and the strongest factor influencing depressive symptoms was partnership status.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genetic variants in the tryptophan hydroxylase 2 gene (TPH2) and depression during and after pregnancy.
Peter A. Fasching,Peter A. Fasching,Florian Faschingbauer,Tamme W. Goecke,Anne Engel,Lothar Häberle,Anna Seifert,Franziska Voigt,Manuela Amann,Dirk Rebhan,Pascal Burger,Johannes Kornhuber,Arif B. Ekici,Matthias W. Beckmann,Elisabeth B. Binder +14 more
TL;DR: In this cohort, TPH2 haplotypes known to be of functional relevance were found to be associated with different EPDS values during and after pregnancy, which underlines the relevance of these functional polymorphisms for depression in general and the importance of longitudinal assessments in research on postpartum depression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved safety of autologous breast reconstruction surgery by stabilisation of microsurgical vessel anastomoses using fibrin sealant in 349 free DIEP or fascia-muscle-sparing (fms)-TRAM flaps: a two-centre study.
Christoph Andree,B Munder,Philipp Behrendt,Simone Hellmann,Werner Audretsch,M. Voigt,Christoph Reis,Matthias W. Beckmann,Raymund E. Horch,Alexander D. Bach +9 more
TL;DR: Microsurgical breast reconstruction using free DIEP flaps and fms-TRAM flaps, with fibrin sealant for stabilisation of microvascular anastomoses, provides good post-operative outcome featuring a low incidence of flap loss or other common post- operative complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adhesion structures of amniotic membranes integrated into human corneas.
Miklós D. Resch,Ursula Schlötzer-Schrehardt,Carmen Hofmann-Rummelt,Renate Sauer,Claus Cursiefen,Friedrich E. Kruse,Matthias W. Beckmann,Berthold Seitz +7 more
TL;DR: The presence of integrated AM and adhesion structures with host corneal tissue supports the clinical experience obtained with AMT in ocular surface disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Long-Term Endurance Exercise in Humans Stimulates Cell Fusion of Myoblasts along with Fusogenic Endogenous Retroviral Genes In Vivo.
Sebastian Frese,Matthias Ruebner,Frank Suhr,Thierry M. Konou,Kim A. Tappe,Marco Toigo,Hans H. Jung,Christine Henke,Ruth Steigleder,Pamela L. Strissel,Hanna Huebner,Matthias W. Beckmann,Piet van der Keylen,Benedikt Schoser,Thorsten Schiffer,Laura Frese,Wilhelm Bloch,Reiner Strick +17 more
TL;DR: It is proposed that during the pre-competitive season SC proliferation occurred following with increased cell fusion during the competitive season, and functional roles for ERV envelope proteins, especially Syncytin-1, contribute to cell fusion of myotubes.
