Journal ArticleDOI
Cannabis sativa L. Inflorescences from Monoecious Cultivars Grown in Central Italy: An Untargeted Chemical Characterization from Early Flowering to Ripening.
Cinzia Ingallina,Anatoly P. Sobolev,Simone Circi,Mattia Spano,Caterina Fraschetti,Antonello Filippi,Antonella Di Sotto,Silvia Di Giacomo,Giulia Mazzoccanti,Francesco Gasparrini,Deborah Quaglio,Enio Campiglia,Simone Carradori,Marcello Locatelli,Giuliana Vinci,Mattia Rapa,Salvatore Ciano,Anna Maria Giusti,Bruno Botta,Francesca Ghirga,Donatella Capitani,Luisa Mannina +21 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the chemical composition of Cannabis sativa L. inflorescence depends on the cultivar and on the harvesting period, and producers can use this information as a guide to obtain inflorescences with peculiar chemical characteristics according to the specific use.
Journal ArticleDOI
Food and COVID-19: Preventive/co-therapeutic strategies explored by current clinical trials and in silico studies
Giacomo Di Matteo,Mattia Spano,Michela Grosso,Andrea Salvo,Cinzia Ingallina,Mariateresa Russo,Alberto Ritieni,Luisa Mannina +7 more
TL;DR: The status of knowledge regarding food as a possible defense/co-therapeutic strategy against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus is considered through the discussion of two main current lines of research.
Journal ArticleDOI
Extra-Virgin Olive Oils from Nine Italian Regions: An 1H NMR-Chemometric Characterization
Cinzia Ingallina,Antonella Cerreto,Luisa Mannina,Simone Circi,Silvia Vista,Donatella Capitani,Mattia Spano,Anatoly P. Sobolev,Federico Marini +8 more
TL;DR: A single classification model provided the discrimination of EVOOs among the three geographical macro-areas (North, Islands, Center-South), whereas a hierarchical approach based on breaking the overall classification problem into a series of smaller linear discriminant analysis sub-models was tested to differentiate olive oils according to their geographical regions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Carvacrol-Based Derivatives as Dual Inhibitors of H. pylori Strains and AGS Cell Proliferation.
Francesca Sisto,Simone Carradori,Paolo Guglielmi,Carmen Beatrice Traversi,Mattia Spano,Anatoly P. Sobolev,Daniela Secci,Maria Carmela Di Marcantonio,Entela Haloci,Rossella Grande,Gabriella Mincione +10 more
TL;DR: Some derivatives of carvacrol-based compounds can be regarded as new lead compounds able to reduce H. pylori growth and to counteract the proliferation of AGS cells, both contributing to the occurrence of gastric cancer.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Hybrid Tomato Cultivars: An NMR-Based Chemical Characterization
Cinzia Ingallina,Anatoly P. Sobolev,Simone Circi,Mattia Spano,Anna Maria Giusti,Luisa Mannina +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of high-field NMR data relative to quantified metabolites (sugars, amino acids, organic acids, sterols, and fatty acids) allowed to point out similarities and differences among cultivars.
