Source Apportionment of Aerosol Ammonium in an Ammonia-Rich Atmosphere: An Isotopic Study of Summer Clean and Hazy Days in Urban Beijing
Yuepeng Pan,Shili Tian,Dongwei Liu,Yunting Fang,Xiaying Zhu,Meng Gao,Gregory R. Wentworth,Greg Michalski,Xiaojuan Huang,Yuesi Wang +9 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface and tropospheric ozone trends in the Southern Hemisphere since 1990: possible linkages to poleward expansion of the Hadley circulation
Xiao Lu,Xiao Lu,Lin Zhang,Yuanhong Zhao,Daniel J. Jacob,Yongyun Hu,Lu Hu,Meng Gao,Xiong Liu,Irina Petropavlovskikh,Irina Petropavlovskikh,Audra McClure-Begley,Audra McClure-Begley,Richard Querel +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, in-situ and satellite observations document increases of tropospheric ozone in the Southern Hemisphere (SH) over 1990-2015 and use a global chemical transport model to diagnose drivers of these trends.
Journal ArticleDOI
Vehicle emissions in a middle-sized city of China: Current status and future trends.
Shida Sun,Jiaxin Jin,Men Xia,Yiming Liu,Meng Gao,Chao Zou,Ting Wang,Yingchao Lin,Lin Wu,Hongjun Mao,Peng Wang +10 more
TL;DR: The spatial distributions of vehicle emissions show a high order of heterogeneity, indicating that local conditions should be considered in policy formulation in addition to national consistency, and more comprehensive policies should be implemented to mitigate the vehicle pollution in middle-sized cities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multi-model intercomparisons of air quality simulations for the KORUS-AQ campaign

TL;DR: In this article, the Korea-United States Air Quality (KORUS-AQ) field study was conducted during May-June 2016 to understand the factors controlling air quality in South Korea.
Journal ArticleDOI
Distinguishing the roles of meteorology, emission control measures, regional transport, and co-benefits of reduced aerosol feedbacks in “APEC Blue”
Meng Gao,Zirui Liu,Yuesi Wang,Xiao Lu,Dongsheng Ji,Lili Wang,Meng Li,Zifa Wang,Qiang Zhang,Gregory R. Carmichael +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the WRF-Chem model to distinguish the roles of meteorology, emission control measures, regional transport, and co-benefits of reduced aerosol feedbacks during APEC week.
