Journal ArticleDOI
Early angiosperm diversification: evidence from southern South America
Sergio Archangelsky,Viviana Barreda,Mauro Gabriel Passalia,Maria A. Gandolfo,Mercedes B. Prámparo,Edgardo J. Romero,Rubén Cúneo,Alba Berta Zamuner,Ari Iglesias,Magdalena Llorens,Gabriela Griselda Puebla,Mirta Elena Quattrocchio,Wolfgang Volkheimer +12 more
TL;DR: Archangelsky et al. as discussed by the authors presented a study of the role of Archangelska in the construction of the Parque Centenario of the National Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales.
Journal ArticleDOI
Freshwater algae from the upper triassic cuyana basin of argentina: palaeoenvironmental implications
TL;DR: In this article, the Potrerillos/Cacheuta sequence includes fluvial, deltaic and lacustrine facies deposited in the early Late Triassic fault-bounded syn-rift Cacheuta hemigraben.
Journal ArticleDOI
Lower Cretaceous palynoflora of the La Cantera Formation, San Luis Basin: correlation with other Cretaceous palynofloras of Argentina
TL;DR: An Aptian-early Albian age is established for the sediments of the La Cantera Formation as discussed by the authors, based on a biostratigraphic analysis of the palynoflora which in turn is correlated with others in Argentina.
Journal ArticleDOI
Depositional environments and hydrocarbon potential of the Middle Jurassic Los Molles Formation, Neuquén Basin, Argentina: palynofacies and organic geochemical data
Marcelo Adrian Martinez,Marcelo Adrian Martinez,Mercedes B. Prámparo,Mirta Elena Quattrocchio,Mirta Elena Quattrocchio,Carlos Zavala +5 more
TL;DR: A multidisciplinary analysis of palynofacies in a sequence-stratigraphical framework, TOC (total organic carbon) and TAI (thermal alteration index) analyses, has been applied to outcrop samples of the uppermost Los Molles Formation (Middle Jurassic), Neuquen Basin, Argentina, in order to characterise the palaeoenvironmental and palaeo-climatic conditions during the deposition of this unit as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Climate and sea‐level changes across a shallow marine Cretaceous–Palaeogene boundary succession in Patagonia, Argentina
Johan Vellekoop,Johan Vellekoop,Femke M. Holwerda,Mercedes B. Prámparo,Verónica Willmott,Stefan Schouten,Néstor R. Cúneo,Roberto A. Scasso,Henk Brinkhuis +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, marine palynological and organic geochemical analyses were performed on the K-Pg boundary interval of the Lefipan Formation at the San Ramon section.
