Elmer B. Ledesma,Elmer B. Ledesma,Meredith A. Kalish,Peter F. Nelson,Mary J. Wornat,John C. Mackie +5 more
TL;DR: The formation and fate of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) during pyrolysis and fuel-rich combustion of primary tar generated under rapid heating conditions have been studied as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observation of Cyclopenta-Fused and Ethynyl-Substituted PAH during the Fuel-Rich Combustion of Primary Tar from a Bituminous Coal
TL;DR: In this paper, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet−visible (UV) diode-array detection was used to analyze the condensed-phase products from the fuel-rich combustion, at 1000 °C, of bituminous coal primary tar.
Journal ArticleDOI
Detection of Benz[f]indene among the Pyrolysis Products of Coal and Anthracene
TL;DR: Using high pressure liquid chromatography with diode-array ultraviolet-visible detection, the authors identified benz[f]indene (C 13 H 10 ) among the pyrolysis products of coal and the model compound anthracene, a three-ring compound representative of the aromatic moieties in coal.
