Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-trace correlators in the SYK model and non-geometric wormholes

TL;DR: In this article, the role of global fluctuations in the density of states of the SYK model is investigated, showing that the dominant diagrams are given by 1PI cactus graphs and derive a vector model of the couplings which reproduces these results.
Journal ArticleDOI

Matrix Theory, AdS/CFT and Higgs-Coulomb Equivalence

TL;DR: In this article, the relation between the Matrix theory definitions of a class of decoupled theories and their AdS/CFT description in terms of the corresponding near-horizon geometry is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

High Density Preheating Effects on Q-Ball Decays and Inflation in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model

TL;DR: Nonperturbative preheating decay of postinflationary condensates often results in a high density, low momenta, nonthermal gas that shields them from instant dissociation, and may radically change the thermal history of the Universe.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid inflation and the moduli problem

TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider supersymmetric hybrid inflation and show that the most natural setting for hybrid inflation is in models with non-renormalizable couplings. And they show that almost inevitably, one of the fields involved is a modulus, with Planck scale variation.
