Journal ArticleDOI

Deoxyribonucleic acid relatedness amongst Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus saprophyticus strains.

TL;DR: The degree of binding was determined between DNA preparations from 65 staphylococci representing cluster defined in a numerical phenetic survey and 3H-labelled DNA from reference strains of S. epidermidis and S. warneri, with S. saprophyticus being shown to be genomic species.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genome-based classification of Streptomyces pinistramenti sp. nov., a novel actinomycete isolated from a pine forest soil in Poland with a focus on its biotechnological and ecological properties

TL;DR: A genomic-based polyphasic study was undertaken to establish the taxonomic status and biotechnological and ecological potential of a Streptomyces strain, isolate SF28T, that was recovered from the litter layer in a Polish Pinus sylvestris forest as mentioned in this paper .
Journal ArticleDOI

Nocardia noduli sp. nov., a novel actinobacterium with biotechnological potential

TL;DR: In this article , a genome-based polyphasic study was undertaken to establish the taxonomic status of an actinobacterium strain isolated from an Actinorhizal root nodule.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gordonia pseudamarae sp. nov., a home for novel actinobacteria isolated from stable foams on activated sludge wastewater treatment plants.

TL;DR: Data supplemented with associated genome characteristics show that BEN371 and CON9T represent a novel species of the genus Gordonia, and the name proposed for members of this taxon is Gordonia pseudamarae sp.
