Journal ArticleDOI
Streptacidiphilus hamsterleyensis sp. nov., isolated from a spruce forest soil
TL;DR: Three acidophilic actinobacteria recovered from spruce litter were examined using a polyphasic approach and show that the isolates form a novel species in the genus Streptacidiphilus sp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differentiation of nocardioform actinomycetes by lysozyme sensitivity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical and chemical classification of Streptosporangium and some related actinomycetes.
TL;DR: The chemical and numerical data support the taxonomic integrity of the validly described species ofStreptosporangium and suggest that the genus is markedly underspeciated.
Journal ArticleDOI
Streptacidiphilus toruniensis sp. nov., isolated from a pine forest soil.
TL;DR: Two acidophilic actinobacteria, isolates NA14 and NF37T, were the subject of a polyphasic taxonomic study and data shown that the isolates form a novel species of Streptacidiphilus toruniensis sp.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mycobacterium eburneum sp. nov., a non-chromogenic, fast-growing strain isolated from sputum.
Imen Nouioui,Lorena Carro,Kanae Teramoto,José Mariano Igual,Marlen Jando,Maria del Carmen Montero-Calasanz,Iain C. Sutcliffe,Vartul Sangal,Michael Goodfellow,Hans-Peter Klenk +9 more
TL;DR: The strain, CECT 8775T, has chemotaxonomic and cultural properties consistent with its classification in the genus Mycobacterium and was distinguished from the type strains of closely related mycobacterial species, notably from Myc Cobacterium paraense DSM 46749T, its nearest phylogenetic neighbour.
