Journal ArticleDOI

Genome insights into the pharmaceutical and plant growth promoting features of the novel species Nocardia alni sp. nov

TL;DR: The taxonomic status of an actinobacterium strain, designated ncl2T, was established in a genome-based polyphasic study as mentioned in this paper , which showed that the strain was Gram-stain-positive, produced substrate and aerial hyphae that fragmented into coccoid and rod-like elements and showed chemotaxonomic properties typical of the genus Nocardia.
Journal ArticleDOI

Streptosporangium anatoliense sp. nov., isolated from soil in Turkey.

TL;DR: DNA–DNA relatedness and phenotypic data demonstrated that strain N9999T was clearly distinguished from all closely related Streptosporangium species, demonstrating conclusively that the isolate should be classified as a new species of Strepto Porangium.
Journal ArticleDOI

Actinomadura alkaliterrae sp. nov., isolated from an alkaline soil.

TL;DR: Strain D310ATT was shown to have chemotaxonomic, cultural and morphological properties consistent with its classification in the genus Actinomadura such as hooked or irregular spiral spore chains, meso-diaminopimelic acid as the major cell wall diaminopic acid, and diphosph atidylglycerol and phosphatidylinositol as major polar lipids.
Journal Article

Characterization of Selected Isolates of Indigenous Streptomyces Species and Evaluation of their Antifungal Activity against Selected Plant Pathogenic Fungi.

TL;DR: Twenty-five representative isolates from a collection of 54 indigenous actinomycetes isolated from coastal resources, were evaluated for inhibition against plant pathogenic fungi in vitro and seven isolates with potential pathogen-inhibitory capabilities belonged to the gray colour class of Streptomyces.
