Die Modellierung von Geschäftsprozessen ist ein zentraler Bestandteil bei der Implementierung und Einführung von Informationssystemen. Dies trifft auch auf den Hochschulsektor zu, in dem zunehmend Arbeitsabläu fe und deren ITUnterstützung prozessorientiert gestaltet werden. In den untersuchten Fallstudien wird eine spezielle Variante der Prozesserhebung, -modellierung, und -an alyse dargestellt. Anstelle von professionellen Modellierern werden die Studierend en der eigenen Hochschule eingesetzt. Untersucht werden die Auswirkungen dieses Vorgehens auf die in der Literatur etablierten Vorgehensmodelle der Prozesserhebung und des Projektmanagements. Es kann gezeigt w erden, dass deren grundsätzliche Phasen erhalten bleiben, jedoch in vielen Bereichen Anpassungen erforderlich sind. Diese Abweichungen sind insbesondere auf die Eigenschaften der Studierendenteams zurückzuführen. Sie sind unerfahre ne Modellierer, direkte Prozessbeteiligte und ihr Einsatz ist vom Semesterzyklus abhängig. Aus diesen Rahmenbedingungen ergeben sich neue Anfo rderungen an die Planung und Durchführung eines Prozessmodellierungsprojektes. Für Studierende und Hochschulen entsteht ein zusätzlicher Nutzen durch die Praxiserfahrung und geringe Kosten.

Diskussion einer kundenorientierten Prozesserhebung durch Studierende an einer Hochschule

Die zunehmende Verbreitung dezentral eingespeister erneuerbarer Energien fuhrt zu Stabilitatsproblemen in Stromnetzen. Im Gegensatz zu steuerbaren und somit gut planbaren konventionellen Kraftwerken ist die Energieerzeugung aus Windkraft und Photovoltaikanlagen aufgrund von wetterbedingten Fluktuationen nur deutlich kurzfristiger und ungenauer zu prognostizieren. Grundsatzlich konnen sowohl Stromerzeuger als auch -verbraucher helfen, die Stabilitatsproblematik zu verringern. Zu diesem Zweck werden Beitrage zu einem Entscheidungsunterstutzungssystem mit Steuerungsstrategien zur Beeinflussung des Verhaltens von Stromerzeugern und -verbrauchern vorgeschlagen. Auf der Erzeugerseite dienen dezentrale, kleinere Blockheizkraftwerke im Verbund als virtuelles Kraftwerk zum Lastausgleich. Basierend auf Prognosen bietet der Betreiber des virtuellen Kraftwerks einen Lastgang an. Auf Abweichungen kann spater durch geeignete Steuerung der Blockheizkraftwerke reagiert werden. Auf der Verbraucherseite kommt eine anreizbasierte Steuerung uber Preissignale zum Einsatz. Intelligente Gerate reagieren auf die ubermittelten Strompreise dadurch, dass sie ihre Ausfuhrungszeit, wenn moglich, auf einen Zeitraum gunstiger Strompreise verlegen. Zur Vorbereitung eines Feldversuchs ist es zunachst notwendig, die intelligenten Gerate zu simulieren. Das Ergebnis der Simulation wird dazu verwendet, ein kunstliches neuronales Netz zu trainieren, mit dem sich fur gewunschte Lastverschiebungen geeignete Preissignale ermitteln lassen.

Nachhaltigkeit ist ein wegweisendes Thema für Wirtschaftsinformatik und Management [8] – sowohl für Forschung als auch Praxis. Der gesteigerte Bedarf an Energie bei gleichzeitig begrenzten Ressourcen stellt eine Herausforderung dar. Dabei wird unter anderem der zunehmende Einsatz von Informationsund Kommunikationstechnik als ein Faktor für höheren Energieverbrauch und Emissionen genannt [6]. Der intelligente Einsatz von Informationssystemen (IS) kann im Gegensatz dazu einen Beitrag zur Nachhaltigkeit leisten: Eine Anwendung ist die Steigerung der Effizienz im Transportwesen durch optimierte Routen, welche auch im vorliegenden Artikel eine zentrale Rolle spielt.

Nachhaltigerer Gütertransport — eine Machbarkeitsstudie mit Entscheidungsunterstützungssystem

The aftermath of the financial crisis has threatened the stability of several financial institutions over the past years. Most heavily hit were banks with a notable exposure to ship finance, who saw the collateral value of many loans being diminished. Industry observers trace back the rare occurrence of actual defaults of ship loans to the use of the Long-Term-Asset Value (LTAV), a valuation method explicitly designed for ship investments. As the LTAV is based on a discounted cash-flow approach, it accounts for investment risks in the discount rate. Consequently, the LTAV bundles the time value of money and risk in a single value, which begs the question if this method oversimplifies the incorporation of risk in the evaluation of ship investments. In the context of infrastructure investments, the Decoupled Net Present Value (DNPV) has recently been proposed as an alternative method that addresses the problem of using risk-adjusted discount rates. It separates the time value of money from risks by quantifying risk factors individually and treating them as costs to the investment. We provide a proof-of-concept regarding the applicability of the DNPV in the context of ship investments. To this end, we develop a DNPV valuation model and instantiate a prototype in Python. We then perform a simulation study that evaluates a ship investment using both the LTAV and the DNPV. The results of our study confirm the applicability of the DNPV to ship investments and point to both its advantages and limitations compared to the LTAV.
