TL;DR: In this article, a twinned 9R structure was found in precipitates slightly larger than 4nm in diameter, following transformation from b.c.c to c.c, indicating that further twinning must occur during growth in the 9R phase.

Characterisation of radiation-damage microstructures by TEM

TL;DR: A critical review of the conventional imaging techniques used in transmission electron microscopy to characterise radiation damage microstructures is given in this paper, with particular emphasis on the limitations of some of these techniques.
