Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-theta antibodies for detecting thymus-dependent lymphocytes in the immune response of mice to SRBC.

TL;DR: Following administration of heterologous anti-lymphocyte serum, a procedure resulting in elimination of thymus-dependent lymphocytes5,6, cells sensitive to θ antibodies disappear transiently from the lymph nodes and spleen4.
Journal ArticleDOI

Wasting Disease Induced in Young Mice by Administration of Cortisol Acetate

TL;DR: A single injection of cortisol acetate into young mice induced a wasting syndrome similar to that observed in runt disease and in the post-thymectomy syndrome and was less severe if the dose of the drug was decreased or if the animals were older at the time of injection.
Journal ArticleDOI

The differing survival of normal and sensitized spleen cells transferred to allogeneic hosts.

TL;DR: The host plays an important role in the rapid destruction of spleen cells presensitized against host antigens, as shown by its elimination in the 1-day interval.
