Journal ArticleDOI

Cytokinin-induced activity of antioxidant enzymes in transgenic Pssu-ipt tobacco during plant ontogeny

TL;DR: The overproduction of cytokinins resulted in the stimulation of activities of AOE throughout the plant ontogeny of transgenic Pssu-ipt tobacco, particularly in the later stages of plant development.
Journal ArticleDOI

Three-dimensional reconstruction of anomalous chloroplasts in transgenic ipt tobacco.

TL;DR: It is suggested that the crystalloids found in chloroplasts of Pssu-ipt tobacco were formed by LHC II aggregates, which were supported by analysis of the fluorescence emission spectra at 77°K, chlorophyll a/b ratio, immunogold staining of the structures, and crystallographic unit size analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction of photosystem 2-LHC2 supercomplexes in adjacent layers of stacked chloroplast thylakoid membranes

TL;DR: Two Types of photosystem 2-light-harvesting complex 2 (PS2-LHC2) supercomplexes with similar pigment and protein composition were isolated directly from thylakoid membranes by sucrose density gradient centrifugation and a model of the organisation of the pigment-protein complexes in grana region is proposed.
