Journal Article
Evaluation of 30% carbamide peroxide at-home bleaching gels with and without potassium nitrate--a pilot study.
TL;DR: Thirty percent carbamide bleaching gels effectively whiten teeth without causing a significant increase in tooth sensitivity or changes in gingival condition.
Journal ArticleDOI
Zirconia enriched dental adhesive: a solution for OCT contrast enhancement. Demonstrative study by synchrotron radiation microtomography.
Mihai Rominu,Adrian Manescu,Cosmin Sinescu,Meda Lavinia Negrutiu,Florin Topala,Roxana Rominu,Adrian Bradu,David A. Jackson,Alessandra Giuliani,Adrian Gh. Podoleanu +9 more
TL;DR: The present study proved the capability of the optical coherence tomography method in visualizing the morphology and integrity of zirconia doped tooth adhesive fillings, to be used for a further in vivo tool development.
Journal ArticleDOI
Shear bond strength tests of zirconia veneering ceramics after chipping repair
Emanuela Lidia Crăciunescu,Cosmin Sinescu,Meda Lavinia Negrutiu,Daniela Maria Pop,Hans-Christoph Lauer,Mihai Rominu,Gheorghe Hutiu,Madalin Bunoiu,Virgil-Florin Duma,Iulian Vasile Antoniac +9 more
TL;DR: Evaluating the alterations of this shear bond strength (SB) between the zirconia core and the ceramic veneer, as produced by the first set of complete burning procedures and by the second correction burning of the dental restorations concluded that there is an approximately 10% decrease of the resistance after the second burning.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of the Printing Angle and Load Direction on Flexure Strength in 3D Printed Materials for Provisional Dental Restorations
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the printing angle and loading direction of the applied force on the flexure strength of two commercially available printable resins-Detax Freeprint Temp and Nextdent MFH Vertex dental.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Implant bone interface investigated with a non-invasive method: optical coherence tomography
Cosmin Sinescu,Michael Hughes,Adrian Bradu,Meda Lavinia Negrutiu,Carmen Todea,Sergiu Antonie,Philippe L. Laissue,Mihai Rominu,Adrian Gh. Podoleanu +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that en-face optical coherence tomography can be used to evaluate implant bone interface analysis and shows gaps of different sizes and shapes between the implant and the bone at different depths.
