The effect of NO2 on the activity of fresh and aged zeolite catalysts in the NH3-SCR reaction
TL;DR: In this paper, the activity of fresh and hydrothermally aged zeolite-based catalysts in the NH 3 -selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction with excess of oxygen were studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nitrogen-Doped Anatase Nanofibers Decorated with Noble Metal Nanoparticles for Photocatalytic Production of Hydrogen
Ming-Chung Wu,Jussi Tapio Hiltunen,András Sápi,Anna Avila,William Larsson,Hsueh-Chung Liao,Mika Huuhtanen,Geza Toth,Andrey Shchukarev,Noémi Laufer,Ákos Kukovecz,Zoltán Kónya,Jyri-Pekka Mikkola,Riitta L. Keiski,Wei-Fang Su,Yang-Fang Chen,Heli Jantunen,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Robert Vajtai,Krisztian Kordas +19 more
TL;DR: In the hydrogen generation tests, the N-doped samples were clearly outperforming their undoped counterparts, showing remarkable efficiency not only under UV-B but also with UV-A illumination.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced photocatalytic activity of TiO2 nanofibers and their flexible composite films: Decomposition of organic dyes and efficient H2 generation from ethanol-water mixtures
Ming-Chung Wu,Ming-Chung Wu,András Sápi,Anna Avila,Mária Szabó,Jussi Hiltunen,Mika Huuhtanen,Geza Toth,Ákos Kukovecz,Zoltán Kónya,Riitta L. Keiski,Wei-Fang Su,Heli Jantunen,Krisztian Kordas +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, the performance of nanofiber-based TiO2 materials is competitive with, and in some cases outperforms, their conventional nanoparticle-based counterparts, which could be explained on the formation of nano-sized Schottky interfaces at the contacts between TiO 2 and metal nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Production of Activated Carbon from Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) Pod Husk
Gerardo J. F. Cruz,Minna Pirilä,Mika Huuhtanen,Lili Carrión,Emilio Alvarenga,Riitta L. Keiski +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, three chemical activation agents (K2CO3, KOH and ZnCl2) and carbonization under nitrogen atmosphere during two hours at three different temperatures (500°C, 650°C and 800°C).
Journal ArticleDOI
Three-Dimensional Carbon Nanotube Scaffolds as Particulate Filters and Catalyst Support Membranes
Niina Halonen,Aatto Rautio,Anne Riikka Leino,Teemu Kyllönen,Geza Toth,Jyrki Lappalainen,Krisztian Kordas,Mika Huuhtanen,Riitta L. Keiski,András Sápi,Mária Szabó,Ákos Kukovecz,Zoltán Kónya,Imre Kiricsi,Pulickel M. Ajayan,Robert Vajtai +15 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that appropriate engineering of macroscopic-ordered nanotube architectures can lead to multifunctional applications in gas-phase heterogeneous catalysis.
