Recent Developments in Chemical Synthesis with Biocatalysts in Ionic Liquids.
Mahesh Kamalakar Potdar,Geoffrey F. Kelso,Lachlan J. Schwarz,Chunfang Zhang,Milton Thomas William Hearn +4 more
TL;DR: An overview of recent developments in the application of more sustainable enzyme-catalyzed reactions and separation processes employing ionic liquids, driven by advances in fundamental knowledge, process optimization and industrial deployment is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI
CO2 adsorption by PAMAM dendrimers: Significant effect of impregnation into SBA-15
TL;DR: In this paper, the capacity of PAMAM dendrimers was investigated at 20, 75 and 105 degrees C. Impregnation by these materials into SBA-15 improved their CO 2 adsorption capacity significantly, especially at 75°C and 105°C.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecular imprinted polymeric porous layers in open tubular capillaries for chiral separations
Chadin Kulsing,Radim Knob,Mirek Macka,Paul Junor,Reinhard I Boysen,Milton Thomas William Hearn +5 more
TL;DR: The described fabrication methods provide a new avenue to tailor-make chiral MIP-PLOT capillary columns for the separation of chiral compounds present in complex or racemic analyte mixtures of chemical and biological origin.
Journal ArticleDOI
Molecularly imprinted polymer membranes and thin films for the separation and sensing of biomacromolecules
Reinhard I Boysen,Lachlan J. Schwarz,Lachlan J. Schwarz,Dan V. Nicolau,Dan V. Nicolau,Milton Thomas William Hearn +5 more
TL;DR: Development of surface imprinting methods for the synthesis of polymeric membranes and thin films, which possess the capability to selectively and specifically recognize biomacromolecules, employing "epitope" or "whole molecule" approaches, are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rapid solid-phase extraction and analysis of resveratrol and other polyphenols in red wine
Shima N.N.S. Hashim,Lachlan J. Schwarz,Reinhard I Boysen,Yuanzhong Yang,Basil Danylec,Milton Thomas William Hearn +5 more
TL;DR: The application of reusable molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) for the selective and robust solid-phase extraction (SPE) and rapid analysis of (E)-resveratrol and several structurally related polyphenols from an Australian Pinot noir red wine is reported.
