Journal ArticleDOI

Adoptive transfer of regulatory NKT lymphocytes ameliorates non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and glucose intolerance in ob/ob mice and is associated with intrahepatic CD8 trapping.

TL;DR: A role for regulatory NKT lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of non‐alcoholic steatohepatitis in the leptin‐deficient murine model is supported, with effects associated with decreased peripheral and intrahepatic CD4/CD8 ratios and decreased interleukin 10 levels.
Journal ArticleDOI

Incidence and Management of Complex Fibroadenomas

TL;DR: Women with complex fibroadenomas may be managed with a conservative approach, similar to the approach now recommended for women with simple fib Roadenomas, at a low incidence of malignancy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Beginning IVF treatments after age 30 increases the risk of breast cancer: results of a case-control study.

TL;DR: The characteristics of breast tumors in women who underwent IVF are no different than in patients without previous exposure to IVF, and the only statistically significant difference in tumors developing in IVF‐BC patients compared with non‐IVF BC patients was in grade distribution, particularly for grade II tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lanthanum carbonate decreases PTH gene expression with no hepatotoxicity in uraemic rats.

TL;DR: These findings confirm that in rats with adenine-induced uraemia, the P-binder La reverses the hyperphosphataemia and hyperparathyroidism and are the first demonstration that La decreases PTH gene expression.
