Dietary Polyphenols and Their Role in Oxidative Stress-Induced Human Diseases: Insights Into Protective Effects, Antioxidant Potentials and Mechanism(s) of Action
Mithun Rudrapal,Shubham Jagdish Khairnar,Johra Khan,Abdulaziz Bin Dukhyil,Mohammad Azam Ansari,Mohammad N. Alomary,Fahad M. Alshabrmi,Santwana Palai,Prashanta Kumar Deb,Rajlakshmi Devi +9 more
TL;DR: Pre-clinical and clinical evidence strongly suggest that long term consumption of diets rich in polyphenols offer protection against the development of various chronic diseases such as neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), cancer, diabetes, inflammatory disorders and infectious illness.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cinnamomum verum Bark Extract Mediated Green Synthesis of ZnO Nanoparticles and Their Antibacterial Potentiality.
Mohammad Azam Ansari,M. Murali,Daruka Prasad,Mohammad A. Alzohairy,Ahmad Almatroudi,Mohammad N. Alomary,A. C. Udayashankar,Sudarshana Brijesh Singh,Sarah Mousa Asiri,Bagepalli Shivaram Ashwini,H.G. Gowtham,Nataraj Kalegowda,Kestur Nagaraj Amruthesh,T.R. Lakshmeesha,T.R. Lakshmeesha,Siddapura Ramachandrappa Niranjana +15 more
TL;DR: The results indicate the prepared ZnO-NPs can be used as a potential antimicrobial agent against harmful pathogens.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Biosynthesized ZnO Nanoparticles on Multi-Drug Resistant Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
Syed Ghazanfar Ali,Mohammad Azam Ansari,Mohammad A. Alzohairy,Mohammad N. Alomary,Mohammad Jalal,Sami AlYahya,Sarah Mousa Asiri,Haris M. Khan +7 more
TL;DR: The present study focuses on the biosynthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) using the seed extract of Butea monsoperma and their effect on to the quorum-mediated virulence factors of multidrug-resistant clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa at sub minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC).
Journal ArticleDOI
Biogenic Gold Nanoparticles as Potent Antibacterial and Antibiofilm Nano-Antibiotics against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Syed Ghazanfar Ali,Mohammad Azam Ansari,Mohammad A. Alzohairy,Mohammad N. Alomary,Sami AlYahya,Mohammad Jalal,Haris M. Khan,Sarah Mousa Asiri,Wasim Ahmad,Abbas Ali Mahdi,Ahmed M. El-Sherbeeny,Mohammed A. El-Meligy +11 more
TL;DR: This study suggests that green-synthesized AuNPs can be used as effective nano-antibiotics against biofilm-related infections caused by P. aeruginosa.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antibacterial and Antifungal Activity of Novel Synthesized Neodymium-Substituted Cobalt Ferrite Nanoparticles for Biomedical Application
Suriya Rehman,Mohammad Azam Ansari,Mohammad A. Alzohairy,Mohammad N. Alomary,B. Rabindran Jermy,Raheem Shahzad,Neda Tashkandi,Zainab Alsalem +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the compositional characterization was done by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) and the results showed that the synthesized metal-ligand improves the antimicrobial capacity by binding them strongly to the microbial walls.
