Dietary Polyphenols and Their Role in Oxidative Stress-Induced Human Diseases: Insights Into Protective Effects, Antioxidant Potentials and Mechanism(s) of Action
Mithun Rudrapal,Shubham Jagdish Khairnar,Johra Khan,Abdulaziz Bin Dukhyil,Mohammad Azam Ansari,Mohammad N. Alomary,Fahad M. Alshabrmi,Santwana Palai,Prashanta Kumar Deb,Rajlakshmi Devi +9 more
TL;DR: Pre-clinical and clinical evidence strongly suggest that long term consumption of diets rich in polyphenols offer protection against the development of various chronic diseases such as neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), cancer, diabetes, inflammatory disorders and infectious illness.
Journal ArticleDOI
Designing a Multi-Epitope Vaccine against Chlamydia trachomatis by Employing Integrated Core Proteomics, Immuno-Informatics and In Silico Approaches
Sidra Aslam,Sajjad Ahmad,Fatima Noor,Usman Ali Ashfaq,Farah Shahid,Abdur Rehman,Muhammad Tahir ul Qamar,Eid A. Alatawi,Fahad M. Alshabrmi,Khaled S Allemailem +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used core proteomics, immuno-informatics, and subtractive proteomics approaches to identify the best antigenic candidates for the development of a multi-epitope-based vaccine (MEBV).
Journal ArticleDOI
Non-β-Lactam Allosteric Inhibitors Target Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus: An In Silico Drug Discovery Study
Mahmoud A. A. Ibrahim,Khlood A.A. Abdeljawaad,Alaa H.M. Abdelrahman,Othman Alzahrani,Fahad M. Alshabrmi,Esraa Khalaf,Mahmoud Moustafa,Faris Alrumaihi,Khaled S Allemailem,Mahmoud E. S. Soliman,Paul W. Paré,Mohamed-Elamir F. Hegazy,Mohamed A. M. Atia +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the binding affinities of (E)-3-(2-(4-cyanostyryl)-4-oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl) benzoic acid (QNZ), a heterocyclic antibiotic devoid of a β-lactam ring, interacts non-covalently with PBP2a allosteric site and inhibits PBP enzymatic activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thyme oil alleviates Ova-induced bronchial asthma through modulating Th2 cytokines, IgE, TSLP and ROS.
Ayman M. Mousa,Ahmad Almatroudi,Ameen S. S. Alwashmi,Waleed Al Abdulmonem,Abdullah S. M. Aljohani,Fahad A. Alhumaydhi,Mohammed A Alsahli,Faris Alrumaihi,Khaled S Allemailem,Ahmed A. H. Abdellatif,Arif Ullah Khan,Masood A. Khan,Fahad M. Alshabrmi,Abdulmohsen M. Alruwetei,Mohammad Aljasir,Faris F Aba Alkhayl,Arshad Husain Rahmani,Osamah Al Rugaie,Abdullah M Alnuqaydan,Suliman A. Alsagaby,Fahad M. Aldakheel,Saleh A. Almatroodi +21 more
TL;DR: In this article, the efficacy of thyme oil against OVA-induced bronchial asthma in an experimental rabbit model was evaluated using morphometric, biochemical and flow cytometry methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
Structure-based design of promising natural products to inhibit thymidylate kinase from Monkeypox virus and validation using free energy calculations
TL;DR: In this article , the structure-based drug designing, molecular simulation, and free energy calculation methods were employed to identify potential hit molecules against the TMPK of MPXV, a replicatory protein that helps the virus to replicate its DNA and increase the number of DNAs in the host cell.
