Influence of Heat Treatment on Impact, Hardness and Fatigue Strength of 6061 Aluminium Alloy

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of heat treatment on toughness, hardness and fatigue strength of aluminum alloy 6061 were examined using standard method and it was found that the fracture surfaces between specimens have a different appearance before and after heat treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preparation of Macroporous Ceramic Materials by Using Aluminium Powder as Foaming Agent

TL;DR: In this paper, different compositions of porous ceramic were produced at 2wt.%, 3wt.% and 4w.% of aluminium powder and their mechanical properties and macro-porosity structural of the porous ceramic material were analyzed and compared.

Precipitation Strengthening in Extruded AZ61Magnesium Alloys During Heat Treatment Process

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure change and Mg Al precipitation in the alloy and to evaluate its mechanical properties 17 12 grain were determined and optical observations also revealed MgAl precipitations grow in the form of needle shape within the 17 12grain after two hour aging.

Failure analysis of two serial holes bolted joint hybrid composite

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of different geometry parameters to the behavior of bolted-joint hybrid composites is investigated. And the results show that different geometry parameter affect the behavior and bearing test are conducted according to ASTM D5961.
Journal ArticleDOI

V-Bend Die Forming Performance of Oil Palm Fiber Composite

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of tool radius, feed rate, temperature and weight ratio of fiber to polypropylene on the spring-back of palm fiber composite are studied. But the results obtained from Design of Experiment (DOE) show that temperature, fiber composition followed by feed rate gives significant effect towards springback, while the suggested temperature and fiber composition to get the smallest springback angle in the current study are 150°C, 30wt% and 500mm/min.
