Journal ArticleDOI
Pyridazinium-based ionic liquids as novel and green corrosion inhibitors of carbon steel in acid medium: Electrochemical and molecular dynamics simulation studies
F. El-Hajjaji,Mouslim Messali,Ateyatallah Aljuhani,Mohamed Reda Aouad,Mohamed Reda Aouad,Belkheir Hammouti,M.E. Belghiti,Dheeraj Singh Chauhan,M.A. Quraishi,M.A. Quraishi +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, pyridazinium-based ionic liquids were synthesized and their inhibitive performance towards the corrosion of mild steel in 1M hydrochloric acid was studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Guar gum as efficient non-toxic inhibitor of carbon steel corrosion in phosphoric acid medium: Electrochemical, surface, DFT and MD simulations studies
Mouslim Messali,Hassane Lgaz,Rohan S. Dassanayake,Rachid Salghi,Shehdeh Jodeh,Noureddine Abidi,Othman A. Hamed +6 more
TL;DR: Guar gum is a water-soluble, nonionic, nontoxic, biodegradable and biocompatible hetero polysaccharide with unlimited number of industrial applications as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, characterization and photocatalytic activity of α-Bi2O3 nanoparticles
Hicham Oudghiri-Hassani,Souad Rakass,Fahd Al Wadaani,Khalaf J. Al-ghamdi,Ahmed Omer,Mouslim Messali,Mostafa Abboudi +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of oxalate complexes of bismuth Bi(C2O4)OH and Bi2(C 2O4)-3·xH2O was synthesized starting from a direct solid-state reaction between a nitrate salt of Bismuth and oxalic acid.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of 1-(3-phenoxypropyl) pyridazin-1-ium bromide on steel corrosion inhibition in acidic medium.
F. El-Hajjaji,Mouslim Messali,M.V. Martínez de Yuso,Enrique Rodríguez-Castellón,Saud M. Almutairi,Teresa J. Bandosz,Manuel Algarra +6 more
TL;DR: Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements revealed that an increase in the immersion time of steel in an acidic medium decreased the charge transfer resistance (Rct) and thus decreased the inhibition efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrosion inhibition of carbon steel in aggressive acidic media with 1-(2-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-oxoethyl)pyridazinium bromide
Abderrahman Bousskri,A. Anejjar,Mouslim Messali,Rachid Salghi,Omar Benali,Y. Karzazi,Shehdeh Jodeh,M. Zougagh,Eno E. Ebenso,Belkheir Hammouti +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of temperature on the corrosion behavior with the addition of 1-(2-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-oxoethyl)pyridazinium bromide (CPEPB) was investigated using gravimetric and electrochemical measurements.
