Moringa oleifera leaf extract prevents isoproterenol-induced myocardial damage in rats: evidence for an antioxidant, antiperoxidative, and cardioprotective intervention.
TL;DR: It can be concluded that M. oleifera extract possesses significant cardioprotective effect, which may be attributed to its antioxidant, antiperoxidative, and myocardial preservative properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Chronic Administration of Tribulus terrestris Linn. Extract Improves Cardiac Function and Attenuates Myocardial Infarction in Rats
Journal ArticleDOI
Cardioprotective effect of lycopene in the experimental model of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury.
Pankaj Bansal,Suresh Kumar Gupta,Shreesh Ojha,Mukesh Nandave,Rajan Mittal,Santosh Kumari,Dharamvir Singh Arya +6 more
TL;DR: Lycopene treatment resulted in preservation of the myocardial antioxidant status and altered hemodynamic parameters as compared to control I-R group and I- R-induced lipid peroxidation was significantly inhibited in the lycopene treated group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Antioxidants of Phyllanthus emblica L. Bark Extract Provide Hepatoprotection against Ethanol-Induced Hepatic Damage: A Comparison with Silymarin.
TL;DR: The results showed that PEE was rich in total phenols, total flavonoid, and tannin content and in vitro antioxidant activities, which clearly support its strong antioxidant potential, and supported the therapeutic claims made in Ayurveda about Phyllanthus emblica.
Antioxidant Activity of Andrographis paniculata in Ischemic Myocardium of Rats
Mukesh Nandave,Santosh Kumari +1 more
TL;DR: Hydroalcoholic extract of Andrographis paniculata prevented isoproterenol induced increase in lipid peroxidation and increased the activities of antioxidant enzymes viz. super oxide dismutase, catalase, glutathione peroxidase and the levels of reduced glutATHione in hearts.
