Providing ubiquitous connectivity to diverse device types is the key challenge for 5G and beyond 5G (B5G). Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are expected to be an important component of the upcoming wireless networks that can potentially facilitate wireless broadcast and support high rate transmissions. Compared to the communications with fixed infrastructure, UAV has salient attributes, such as flexible deployment, strong line-of-sight (LoS) connection links, and additional design degrees of freedom with the controlled mobility. In this paper, a comprehensive survey on UAV communication towards 5G/B5G wireless networks is presented. We first briefly introduce essential background and the space-air-ground integrated networks, as well as discuss related research challenges faced by the emerging integrated network architecture. We then provide an exhaustive review of various 5G techniques based on UAV platforms, which we categorize by different domains including physical layer, network layer, and joint communication, computing and caching. In addition, a great number of open research problems are outlined and identified as possible future research directions.

UAV Communications for 5G and Beyond: Recent Advances and Future Trends

The evaluation of electrical load estimation is requisitely of any electrical power system. This manner is needed for system obligation, economical distribution and maintenance time of electrical system. In this paper, we propose electrical load estimation method based on fuzzy inference system which gives accurate results for estimated loads in Iraq (Diyala governorateBaaquba city). And it can assist the electrical generation and distribution system that depends on important parameters (temperature, humidity and the speed of the wind). By considering the parameters temperature, humidity and the speed of the wind. These parameters are applied as inputs to the fuzzy logic control system to obtain the normalize estimated load as output by electing membership functions. It is exceptionally valuable to form a choice by taking into consideration these assessed readings that come to from the proposed FIS that displayed in this paper with precision of 0.969 from the real stack request.

Five types of low-voltage design techniques suitable for analog circuits are briefly described. Their advantages and disadvantages are compared. And finally, applications of these techniques are dealt with in general.

Design Techniques for Low-Voltage Analog Integrated Circuits

It is challenging for motorists to manually search for a parking slot in a crowded parking area. Conventional methods for locating vacant or occupied space are regarded as inefficient and unreliable. In this work, an Internet-of-Things (IoT)-enabled vacant parking slot detection system is developed and tested using low-cost inkjet-printed passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. The working principle of the proposed system is to analyze the backscattered signal strength from the tags at the receiver side for vehicle presence/ absence detection in the parking slots. First of all, we propose a low-cost passive tag optimized to work in UHF RFID-band pasted on plastic material display for parking slots. The data collected by the RFID reader from the tags is sent over message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) protocol via Scotland 5G-network to the MongoDB database using a Python module Pymongo for decision-making and display of vacant parking slots to the motorists. A Python-based web-app extracts data from the database and shows it on a web-app display using the embedded JavaScript template (EJS) for each slot. Experimental observations conducted at parking slots in the presence of vehicles indicate a drastic reduction in the received-signal-strength-index (RSSI) value at the receiver end, which implies that RSSI signal drop can be utilized for the detection of vehicle presence in the parking slot. The suggested approach aims to facilitate the economical and effective location of available parking slots. The test results for the proposed system are recorded and presented, demonstrating its significant performance and showing great accuracy for the tested scenarios.

IoT-Enabled Vacant Parking Slot Detection System Using Inkjet-Printed RFID Tags

Over the past decade, the concept of smart cities has become very popular thanks to the Internet of Things (IoT) development and expansion for increasing the reliability of building the infrastructure of cities. The continuous increase of vehicles in the streets with the lack of car parking is becoming a problem in most urban cities. Therefore, the demand for smart car parking systems is increased for helping drivers to find a suitable car space quickly. This paper presents a smart parking system using infrared and ultrasonic sensors, which is controlled by Arduino Mega 2560. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader provides authorization to enter the smart parking system. On the other hand, a mobile application is added to allows users to know about the empty spaces based via WiFi application. This smart parking system is implementing in a small-scale model, and the results show that simulates the car parking with the mobile application, all the sensors, and the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screen display, to describe a view of the system architecture.

The Smart Parking System Using Ultrasonic Control Sensors

As a result of technological advances in robotic systems, electronic sensors, and communication techniques, the production of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems has become possible. Their easy installation and flexibility led these UAV systems to be used widely in both military and civilian applications. Note that the capability of one UAV is however limited. Nowadays, a multi-UAV system is of special interest due to the ability of its associate UAV members either to coordinate simultaneous coverage of large areas or to cooperate to achieve common goals/targets. This kind of cooperation/coordination requires a reliable communication network with a proper network model to ensure the exchange of both control and data packets among UAVs. Such network models should provide all-time connectivity to avoid dangerous failures or unintended consequences. Thus, the multi-UAV system relies on communication to operate. Flying ad hoc network (FANET) is moreover considered as a sophisticated type of wireless ad hoc network among UAVs which solved the communication problems into other network models. Along with the FANET’s unique features, challenges and open issues are also discussed especially in the routing protocols approach. We will try to present the expected transmission account metric with a new algorithm for reliability. In addition to this new algorithm mechanism, the metric takes into account the relative speed between UAVs, and thus the increase of the fluctuations in links between UAVs has been detected. Accordingly, the results show that the function of the AODV routing protocol with this metric becomes effective in high mobility environments.

Reliability-based routing metric for UAVs networks

This paper presents the description and analysis of the design and HSPICE-based simulation results of very low-voltages (LVs) power supplies and high-performance specifications CMOS gate-driven (GD) operational amplifier (Op-Amp) circuit. The very LVs CMOS GD Op-Amp circuit designed using 90nm CMOS technology parameters and the folded cascode (FC) technique employed in the differential input stage. The HSPICE simulation results demonstrate that the overall gain is 73.1dB, the unity gain bandwidth is 14.9MHz, the phase margin is , the total power dissipation is 0.91mW, the output voltage swing is from 0.95V to 1V, the common-mode rejection ratio is dB, the equivalent input-referred noise voltage is 50.94  at 1MHz, the positive slew rate is 11.37 , the negative slew rate is 11.39 , the settling time is 137 , the positive power-supply rejection ratio is 74.2dB, and the negative power-supply rejection ratio is 80.1dB. The comparisons of simulation results at 1V and 0.814V power supplies’ voltages of the very LVs CMOS GD Op-Amp circuit demonstrate that the circuit functions with perfect performance specifications, and it is suitable for many considerable applications intended for very LVs CMOS Op-Amp circuits.
