Journal ArticleDOI
Mycosynthesis of gold nanoparticles using the extract of Flammulina velutipes, Physalacriaceae, and their efficacy for decolorization of methylene blue
Muwafaq Ayesh Rabeea,Mustafa Nadhim Owaid,Azlan Abdul Aziz,Mahmood S. Jameel,Mohammed Ali Dheyab +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used fresh fruiting bodies of Enoki mushroom (Flammulina velutipes) as a new green reducer agent incorporated in the mycosynthesis of gold nanoparticles.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mycosynthesis of nanoparticles using edible and medicinal mushrooms
TL;DR: A review of myco-nanotechnology using metallic nanoparticles (meta-NPs) synthesized from edible mushroom matter can be found in this paper, where green chemistry approaches were attempted to myco synthetically synthesize metamodel NPs via different routes using edible mushrooms and have been tested toward 79% biomedical and 21% industrial applications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mycosynthesis of silver nanoparticles by Pleurotus cornucopiae var. citrinopileatus and its inhibitory effects against Candida sp.
Mustafa Nadhim Owaid,Jegadeesh Raman,Hariprasath Lakshmanan,Sajid S. S. Al-Saeedi,Vikineswary Sabaratnam,Idham Ali Abed +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple, low-cost and rapid bio-reduction of silver nitrate to silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the hot water extract of fresh basidiocarps of Pleurotus cornucopiae var. citrinopileatus is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
The nutritional and medical benefits of agaricus bisporus : a review
Journal ArticleDOI
Mushroom-assisted synthesis of triangle gold nanoparticles using the aqueous extract of fresh Lentinula edodes (shiitake), Omphalotaceae
Mustafa Nadhim Owaid,Muwafaq Ayesh Rabeea,Azlan Abdul Aziz,Mahmood S. Jameel,Mohammed Ali Dheyab +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, fresh fruiting bodies of shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) were used to mycosynthesize AuNPs, which were characterized using change in color, UV-vis, FE-SEM, AFM, Zetasizer, Zeta Potential, XRD, EDX, and FTIR analyses.
