Energy Efficient Transmission in Wireless Sensor Networks
TL;DR: It is shown that in presence of existing Error Control Coding (ECC) techniques and decoder complexity energy efficiency increased, by estimating transmitter power for each sensor node in given environment.

On Performance Evaluation of Variants of DEEC in WSNs
TL;DR: The performance of DEEC and DDEEC is highly effected by changing the heterogeneity parameters of the network, however, the performance of EDEEC and TDEEC perform better in all heterogeneous scenarios containing variable heterogeneity in terms of life time, however TDEec is best of all for the stability period of thenetwork.
Book ChapterDOI
Cloud-Fog Based Smart Grid Paradigm for Effective Resource Distribution
Muhammad Ismail,Nadeem Javaid,Muhammad Zakria,Muhammad Zubair,Faizan Saeed,Muhammad Asad Zaheer +5 more
TL;DR: Cloud-fog based SG paradigm, artificial bee colony (ABC) load balancing algorithm is proposed, and it is concluded that performance of ABC is better than RR, PSO and throttled.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Data Analytics for Price Forecasting in Smart Grids: A Survey
TL;DR: A comparison of price forecasting techniques with respect to different categories is presented that draws out the important aspects of the implemented methodologies.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Blockchain Based Vehicular Trust Management and Less Dense Area Optimization
Shahid Abbas,Nadeem Javaid +1 more
TL;DR: This work proposed the trust management system through blockchain based authentication of the vehicles by assigning unique identification by calculating the data that is sent from the vehicles so that network does not get stuck due to malicious data, and proposed the crowdsensing concept using vehicles' sensors data.
