Deep learning based carbon emissions forecasting and renewable energy's impact quantification

TL;DR: In this article , an improved particle swarm optimization (IPSO) based deep neural network (DNN) was used to forecast future carbon emissions in the power system. And the proposed model comprises of Spearman Correlation Analysis (SCA) and Improved Shallow Denoising Autoencoder (ISDAE) based feature engineering, which outperformed Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) in terms of forecasting accuracy.

The 6th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies (ANT 2015) AEDG: AUV-aided Efficient Data Gathering Routing Protocol for Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks

TL;DR: A novel AUV-aided Efficient Data Gathering Routing Protocol (AEDG) for reliable data delivery and a MILP model, that increases network throughput as well as conserves energy by limiting the assignment of member nodes is formulated.
Book ChapterDOI

Weighted Cuckoo Search Based Load Balanced Cloud for Green Smart Grids

TL;DR: A three layered cloud and fog based architecture with weighted cuckoo search algorithm for load balancing is proposed and results show the effectiveness of proposed technique.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

A Comprehensive Survey of MAC Protocols for Wireless Body Area Networks

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a comprehensive study of medium access control (MAC) protocols developed for Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) and investigate the existing designed protocols for WBANs with focus on their strengths and weaknesses.
Journal ArticleDOI

SF-LAP: Secure M2M Communication in IIoT with a Single-Factor Lightweight Authentication Protocol

TL;DR: In this paper , a secure M2M communication in IIoT with a single-factor lightweight authentication protocol (SF-LAP) is proposed, which uses an exclusive-OR operation and a hashing function to ensure secure communication between the sensor and the controller.
