TL;DR: In this paper, an outdoor unit for air condition is provided with a casing, a heat exchanger 14 arranged in a circumferential side part of the casing, an axial fan 18 arranged facing an air exhaust port 16 formed on the top part of a casing 12, and a base plate part 20 provided in a base part of casing 12.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an outdoor unit for air condition of a multi-package, more suitable for suppressing enlargement of the device while securing a predetermined heat exchange area SOLUTION: The outdoor unit for air condition is provided with a casing 12, a heat exchanger 14 arranged in a circumferential side part of the casing 12, an axial fan 18 arranged facing an air exhaust port 16 formed on a top part of the casing 12, and a base plate part 20 provided in a base part of the casing 12 The base plate part 20 has an arrangement face 22 mounted with apparatuses, and a stepped part 24 protruding from a rim part of the arrangement face 22 toward a casing 12 side to be used as a seat part supporting a lower rim part of the heat exchanger 14, and a hole 26 for tube arrangement is formed in the stepped part 24 COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a method for calculating the sound generated when a rotating blade is excited by the torque pulsation of a motor shaft, which was used to predict the noise level of a fan attached to a motor.
Abstract: An urgent need exists to develop a method of predicting the noise level of a blade fan attached to a motor shaft. To satisfy this requirement, we developed a method for calculating the sound generated when a rotating blade is excited by the torque pulsation of a motor. The sound pressure values calculated by the new method for a rotating blade were found to correspond well with experimentally measured ones.
