A flash water heater using a heat pump includes a heat exchanger in which a refrigerant flow path exchanges heat with a water flow path. Tap water is led directly to the water flow path, and hot water supplied from the water flow path is used. The water heater includes at least one of the following elements: 1) a load setter for setting a heating amount in the heat exchanger, and a heating controller for regulating a heating amount in response to an amount set by the load setter; 2) a heater for heating water flowing through the water flow path in the heat exchanger and water flowing the path before and after the heat exchanger; 3) plural compressors; and 4) plural heat-pump cycles. The water heater is excellent in start-up of hot water temperature when the hot water supply starts, controllability, and efficiency.

A refrigerating cycle device using carbon dioxide as refrigerant capable of solving such a problem that when a receiver is installed against a low pressure, a cost and a volume are increased by a pressure resistant design to assure safety, wherein a first pressure reducing device (12) and a second pressure reducing device (15) are operated to vary the refrigerant pressure of a first heat exchanger (13) so as to regulate the refrigerant hold amount of the first heat exchanger, whereby since the unbalance of the amount of refrigerant between cooling and heating/dehumidifying can be reduced, the refrigerating cycle device can be efficiently operated with a downsized receiver or without installing the receiver.

In a heat exchanger for exchanging heat between a fluid, such as a refrigerant, and air, an object is to increase the surface areas of the fins while suppressing an increase in draft resistance, so as to attain the improvement of performance. To this end, corrugated sheet fins (70) are used as the fins of a heat exchanger (60). The fins (70) are shaped in corrugated form, and the direction of their edge lines is orthogonal to the leading edge and trailing edge. In the heat exchanger (60), a plurality of corrugated sheet fins (70) are disposed at a fixed pitch axially of heat transmission pipes (61).

An air conditioner outdoor unit (1) comprises a case having a rectangular shape and composed of side panels (4, 4,--) in which a machine chamber (3) and a heat exchanger chamber (2) are defined so as to be vertically aligned, with the heat exchanger chamber disposed above the machine chamber (3) and sectioned by a partition plate (12) which also acts as a drain pan, the side panels surrounding the heat exchanger chamber are formed with air suctions ports (4a, 4a --). The outdoor unit (1) further comprises a heat exchanger unit (17, 18) having four side wall sections of which at least two opposing two sections are inclined inwardly by a predetermined angle with respect to inner surfaces of the side panels to which the air suction ports are formed. The outdoor unit case also contains a duct unit (20) arranged in association with the drain pan (12) for discharging drain and cooling an electrical part such as a heat sink (22).

An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided. The outdoor unit includes a base assembly defining a lower exterior of the outdoor unit and supporting a plurality of parts, left and right panels that are provided on the base assembly to define left and right exteriors of the outdoor unit, a pair of top panels that are provided between upper ends of the left and right panels to define a top exterior of the outdoor unit, a blower assembly including a blower fan generating air current and a motor providing a torque to the blower fan, a frame assembly supporting the blower assembly and including a pair of transverse supports interconnecting the left and right panels and a motor mount disposed between the pair of transverse supports to support the motor, and a shroud enclosing the blower fan and the motor and guiding airflow generated by the blower fan. The motor mount is received to an inside of the shroud.

PURPOSE: To obtain automatic washing equipment for ceiling fitted type air conditioner which has a structure wherein one or more rectangular-plate-shaped heat exchangers are installed opposite to a fan. CONSTITUTION: This equipment has a guide rail B which is fitted removably to a casing of an indoor machine so that it is placed oppositely along the longitudinal direction of a heat exchanger with a prescribed gap therefrom, an equipment main body A which is equipped with washing nozzles 13 jetting a washing liquid to the heat exchanger and is fitted to the guide rail so that it can be moved forward and backward, a means for moving the main body forward and backward and a device for supplying the washing liquid to the washing nozzles. The means for the forward-backward movement is equipped with a drive roller 4 brought into pressure contact with the guide rail, a means for the pressure contact and a movement motor 2 rotating the drive roller 4, and the means for the pressure contact is equipped with a follower roller 7 placed opposite to the drive roller with the guide rail held between them and a spring 10 actuating the follower roller so that it be made to approach the drive roller.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an inner filter by pulling it down manually from a position on a floor face without using a foot-stool from an air suction port of an air conditioner embedded in ceiling. SOLUTION: A device for covering an air suction port of a decorative panel 2 exposed from a ceiling-plane and mounted on the underside of an air conditioner main body 1 set in a ceiling plenum comprises a grille 3 mounted to the air suction port with the aid of a hinge 11 and provided with a hook on its opening/closing end, a damper 4 for limiting an opening degree of the grille 3, a two-staged slidable mechanism composed of a fixed guide frame 5 provided on the upper face of the grille 3 and slidable frames 6, 7 contained double in the fixed guide frame 5, and which can be extended and retracted along the inclination of the grille 3, an air filter 9 in the slidable frame 7 at the final stage, each leaf spring pressed by a slide surface between the fixed guide frame 5 and the slidable frame 6 and by a slide surface between the slidable frames 6, 7, and a hook 7b provided at a top end of the slidable frame 7. The hook 7b is caught with a hooked-shaped bar to open the grille 3, and the slidable mechanisms are then pulled down to a portion near a floor face for changing a filter.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make fluid performance better and try to increase wind quantity and reduce noises by forming a shroud so that the dimension in rotary shaft direction with a hub is gradually smaller toward the outer diameter direction and specifying the shapes of a blade in the rotational direction side of adjacent blades and of a blade on the anti-rotation side. SOLUTION: A vane of a centrifugal machine arranges a boss 2 at the rotation center thereof and has a hub 3, a blade 4, and shroud 5. An outer diameter DH1 of the hub 3 is greater than an inner diameter ds1 of the shroud 5, distances Y1 to Y3 in the rotary shaft direction of the shroud 5 and the hub 3 is gradually smaller in the radial direction. The shape of the blade 4 seen from the top face is so that a tangent line at an arbitrary point from the outer diameter of the shroud 5 on the line opposite to the rotational direction of a blade 401 to the core inner diameter and a tangent line at an arbitrary point from the outer diameter of the shroud 5 on the line on the rotational direction side of the blade 40 to the core inner diameter have a cross point inside than the outer diameter of the shroud 5.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control any possible vibration in making the boundary-layer control of flow separation achievable by installing a lot of small holes in plural sheets of blade surface members constituting a fan in a sense of being perpendicular and oblique with a blade surface, and providing a different king member in a hollow layer in the inner part of a blade SOLUTION: Many small holes 5 are installed in a suction surface 6 and a pressure surface 7 in place nearer to a rear edge 3 of a fan 1 The inner part of a spatial layer held between both these blade surfaces 6 and 7 is composed of an integrally formed different kind member A flow 8 taken into the fan 1 from a front edge 2 of a blade flow into the small holes 5, producing small vortexes there These vortexes produced in the small holes 5 are discharged to the outside air form the small holes 5 after having receiving a pressure interference on the surface of the different kind member 4 in the spatial layer The vortexes discharged to the outside air become lessened of a pressure variation in the blade surface in order to become such a vortex as preventing it from being separated form these surfaces 6 and 7 Therefore it turns to a vibration absorbent by installing the different kind member 4 in the spatial layer being held between these surfaces 6 and 7 Thus, a reduction in fluid noises is made possible, and thus the vibro-noise being generated out of the fan is reducible

PURPOSE: To provide a thinned, noise-reduced centrifugal fan at reduced cost that provides a large quantity of air, for use in an air conditioner, air-cooled electronic equipment or an electric motor. CONSTITUTION: The bore of a side plate 3 is smaller than the outside diameter of a core plate 1 and a plurality of main vanes 2 are disposed at almost equal intervals on the core plate 1 and a plurality of auxiliary vanes 4 are mounted at almost equal intervals on that side of the side plate 3 which is opposite to the main vanes 2. The shapes of the main vane 2 and the auxiliary vane 4 are determined so that the main vane 2 and the auxiliary vane 4 are axially passed through respective trimming dies used in the manufacture of the main and auxiliary vanes. Therefore the centrifugal fan can provide low noise, high pressure and a large quantity of air as compared to conventional centrifugal and propeller fans and can be integrally molded and is therefore available at reduced cost.
