Journal ArticleDOI
A critical review on arsenic removal from water using iron-based adsorbents
TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on the removal of arsenic from water using iron-based materials, such as iron nanoparticles, layered double hydroxides (LDHs), zero-valent iron (ZVI), iron-doped activated carbon, iron-depleted polymer/biomass materials, and iron-containing combined metal oxides.
Journal ArticleDOI
Arsenic removal from water and river water by the combined adsorption - UF membrane process
TL;DR: The combined adsorption - UF process was employed for arsenic removal from As-spiked Songhua river water and it was demonstrated that aeration not only increased the removal efficiency by oxidizing As(III) to As(V), but mitigated the membrane fouling process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorptive treatment of coking wastewater using raw coal fly ash: Adsorption kinetic, thermodynamics and regeneration by Fenton process
TL;DR: Raw coal fly ash (RCFA) was used directly as adsorbent to treat coking wastewater and the results show that the RCFA can introduce COD into water due to the dissolution of reductive components from RCFA, this can be avoided by washing using distilled water.
Journal ArticleDOI
Adsorptive removal of organics from aqueous phase by acid-activated coal fly ash: preparation, adsorption, and Fenton regenerative valorization of “spent” adsorbent
TL;DR: The mechanism of activating coal fly ash by sulfuric acid impregnation is proposed, being verified by the results of the SEM and BET test, and the regenerative valorization of saturated adsorbent by Fenton process is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study on decolorization of Rhodamine B by raw coal fly ash catalyzed Fenton-like process under microwave irradiation
TL;DR: In this article, coal fly ash (CFA) catalyzed Fenton-like process was studied under microwave (MW) irradiation for the decolorization of Rhodamine B (RhB) wastewater.
